Position Overview ACRS seeks a part‑time AAS – CLC Specialist I in our Aging and Adult Services department who provides culturally competent and linguistically accessible information and assistance services to limited English‑speaking Asian and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander elderly and adults living with disabilities. Services are holistic, person‑centered, and strengths‑based with the overall goal of helping individuals to live a meaningful, independent life in the community. Competitive Benefits Package Includes Pay range is between $29,400 to $31,800 annually. Can increase based on experience. This position is supported by grant funding and is subject to renewal based on continued funding availability. ACRS pays 100% for employee only HMO/Virtual Plus medical benefits. Additional options are covered anywhere from 75% to 85%. Dental and Vision insurance are available at a very minimal cost. ACRS pays 100% of your life, AD&D and long‑term disability insurance on or coinciding with your date of hire. Employer paid ORCA card and vanpool program. Free on‑site parking available at Main Office. Paid Time Off 4 hours of vacation accrued monthly from day 1, available to use after 6 months of employment. 3 hours of sick leave, accrued monthly from day 1, available to use once accrued, no waiting period. 16 hours (max) of wellness leave per year, available to use upon hire, no waiting period. Wellness leave hour amount is subject to proration based on the calendar month of hiring. 13 paid holidays annually. IT equipment provided, with telecommuting reimbursement available. 403b Retirement Savings Account eligibility. Simplified Employee Pension available after 2 years. Employee Assistance Program. Essential Job Functions Conduct interviews with clients to identify service needs and develop a written, personalized service plan. Deliver services based on plan, including client visits at their homes and other community locations accessible to them. Provide client advocacy in attaining services and assistance in areas such as housing, medical resources, financial assistance, legal advocacy, personal care service, transportation, translation/interpretation, daily living skills, family support, and crisis intervention. Follow up with clients to determine whether culturally relevant service is being provided through consultation to a case supervisor, progress notes, and service plans. Participate in development and implementation of social and related activities for ACRs’ senior congregate meal program. Provide general translation/interpretation assistance to ACRS nutrition program participants. Prepare concise, complete and accurate program documentation according to agency policy and system standards in a timely manner. Maintain complete and accurate case files and records. Expected to meet program documentation standards and maintain client confidentiality. Perform program outreach and function in the community. Explain program policy and services to others. Coordinate and cooperate within the agency and other agencies and organizations to ensure quality care to clients. Develop and maintain knowledge, resource file, and close working relationships with City of Seattle Aging and Disability Services (ADS), health care providers, and other social service and ethnic community resources. Submit time study and other reports on time and participate in the program’s quality improvement, contract compliance, and client service excellence initiatives. Attend and participate in all agency, program, and team in‑service trainings, meetings, and consultations. Position Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in social work or social/behavioral science. Associate’s degree or equivalent in social work or social/behavioral science plus three (3) years of social services experience. Knowledge and Skills Knowledge of A&NH/PI cultures is required. Knowledge of aging process; aging network service delivery system; other service delivering systems in the community; purpose of CLC program and I&A services it provides; and responsibility of CLC staff. Ability to work effectively as a team member with professional and support staff; analyze and draw conclusions from case records; apply case work principles to individual situations; and exercise judgment and organize multiple tasks. Fluency in one or more Asian and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander language preferred. Technical Skills Proficient in using modern workplace technology, including collaboration tools, communication platforms, and business applications for document creation, scheduling, and data management. Able to learn new systems quickly, navigate digital workflows, and use online tools and resources to support day‑to‑day work. Additional Requirements Must have reliable transportation. If using a personal or agency vehicle to fulfill job duties, must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable under ACRS’s auto policy. If using personal vehicle, must have current auto insurance. Follow all agency policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Working Conditions The position requires regular mobility within the office or workspace, may involve sitting for extended periods throughout the day and the ability to handle objects, tools, or controls. Occasional lifting or moving of up to 20 pounds may be required. Involves tasks where visual acuity is beneficial. This position is hybrid, with work divided between remote and on‑site locations. Approximately 20% of the work will be conducted on‑site or in‑person, while the remaining 80% will be performed remotely (telecommuting). These hybrid work expectations are subject to change at the agency’s discretion. The noise level in the on‑site work environment is moderate.
