Electronic Projects Engineer

BYU is constantly conducting world-changing research and engaging student projects. You can be a part of it! The Electronics Project Engineer is a pivotal role requiring expertise in analog and digital electronics design, proficiency in using prototyping tools, and the ability to guide the scope of student projects in a dynamic learning environment. This position is also responsible for maintaining equipment, supporting lab activities and advising a team of student technicians. What you'll do in this position:

• Design and implement analog and digital systems for class projects and faculty led research projects.
• Consult with students on capstone projects and student class projects in need of circuit design expertise.
• Maintain inventory of components for the Experiential Learning Center.
• Advise and mentor a team of student technicians.
• Assist with department facilities upgrades and maintenance

What qualifies you for this role:

Required

• A firm commitment to the mission of BYU
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or three years of schooling in a relevant field plus two years of part-time experience in relevant experience.

Preferred

• Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
