Registered Respiratory Therapist Full Time Night

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Respiratory Department Work Location: 1600 Hospital Parkway Bedford, Texas 76022 Work Hours: Full Time Night, 36 hours Education Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Care Program required CLIAFE: Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required Experience NICU and critical care experience strongly preferred Licenses and Certifications RCP – Respiratory Care Practitioner upon hire required RRT – Registered Respiratory Therapist upon hire required BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to independent patient care and maintained quarterly required ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred upon hire NRP – Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program; required if working in the NICU within 90 days NRPA – Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program; required if working in the NICU within 90 days Responsibilities Patient Assessment/Plan of Care – Obtain and verify physician orders for therapy and validate for appropriateness Review available medical records and obtain pertinent medical history from patient or family Patient Treatment – Use therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient age and desire for treatment Perform treatment procedures that are within the scope of the professional license Documentation – Document verification of physician orders prior to delivery of care Document aspects of each treatment session in accordance with departmental, JCAHO, Medicare, and other applicable regulatory guidelines Professional Accountability – Utilize available resources (equipment, support personnel, educational resources) to maximize efficiency and productivity and meet departmental needs Participate in orientation and training of students and new employees Other duties as assigned #J-18808-Ljbffr
