HOUSEKEEPER - PRN

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe, and comfortable environment for patients, residents, staff, and visitors in hospital and long-term care facility. This role involves cleaning patient and resident rooms, common areas, offices, and other facility spaces while following infection control and safety procedures.Essential Duties and Repsonsibilities:Cleans room as assigned, including dusting, polishing, vacuuming, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, etc.Cleans, details, and refills supplies for all assigned areas of the facility as needed, including common areas, offices, etc.Maintains clean, organized work areas and securely stores equipment and suppliesRelates to residents in a courteous, understanding, and cooperative mannerCleans office areas and other common areas according to a regular schedule or as requested by the supervisor or other as designatedEnsures all housekeeping supplies and equipment are labeled and stored appropriatelyInventories housekeeping supplies on a regular basis and submits orders to supervisor for needed productsMay be required to work weekdays and/or weekends, evenings and/or night shifts if needed.EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: High School graduate or equivalent preferred.LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT: None required.EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Previous housekeeping, custodial, or healthcare cleaning experience preferred but not required.SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIREMENT: Ability to read, write, and follow verbal instructions.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Visual and auditory acuity are necessary.
