This role is based in Lafayette and serves construction clients across Acadiana.

What You'll Do

\n

\n

You will own the full sales cycle for new managed services and cybersecurity contracts in the AEC vertical. You will build, qualify, and close net-new opportunities and position RIT as the trusted IT partner for construction-industry leaders.

\n
• Prospect and qualify new business across architecture, engineering, and construction firms (20-350 seats)
\n
• Own the sales cycle end to end, from first touch to signed contract, backed by marketing campaigns, partnerships, and referrals
\n
• Build tailored proposals and statements of work using RIT templates, with Sales Engineer support as needed
\n
• Lead discovery and needs-analysis conversations with owners and executives, covering budgets, project constraints, and compliance
\n
• Manage pipeline and activity in Autotask PSA, GlassHive CRM, and Apollo, and keep the data accurate
\n
• Partner with engineering, onboarding, and service delivery for clean handoffs and satisfied clients
\n
• Represent RIT at industry events and partner functions to build awareness and referral relationships
\n
• Forecast and report with discipline. No fluff, no ghost opportunities, only qualified, actionable data
\n

Qualifications

\n

\n

\n
• 3+ years of full-cycle B2B sales experience, prospecting through close
\n
• Track record selling recurring-revenue services (managed IT, cybersecurity, SaaS, or similar) with compensation tied to MRR
\n
• Proven ability to book your own first meetings through outbound prospecting activity (networking, phone, email, LinkedIn, walk-ins)
\n
• Experience selling to owners and executives at companies of 20-350 employees
\n
• Comfortable leading discovery conversations about budgets, project constraints, and compliance
\n
• Disciplined CRM habits: accurate pipeline, clean data, and forecasts you can stand behind
\n
• Able to write a clear proposal or statement of work from a template without an engineer holding the pen
\n
• Based in or able to relocate to Lafayette, LA, with travel to client sites across Acadiana
\n
• Authorized to work in the United States
\n

Preferred Qualifications

\n

\n
• Experience selling to architecture, engineering, or construction firms, or a background in the trades
\n
• Prior MSP, MSSP, or IT services sales experience
\n
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, cybersecurity fundamentals, and the compliance pressures on construction firms
\n
• Familiarity with Autotask PSA, GlassHive, Apollo, or similar sales tools
\n
• Existing network in the Louisiana construction community (AGC, ABC, AIA, ASA or similar)
\n
• Experience representing a company at trade shows and industry events
\n
• History of hitting 100% or better of a new-business quota in at least one of the last two years
\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field
\n

Compensation and Benefits

\n

\n
• Base salary: $80,000 - $100,000 (exempt), plus uncapped commission on new monthly recurring revenue
\n
• Flexible comp structure: choose a higher base with a lower commission rate, or a lower base with a higher rate
\n
• Annual performance bonus up to 10% of base, tied to qualified pipeline and closed-won business
\n
• 12 paid holidays per year plus 80 hours of PTO
