Production Associate

Position Summary The goal of the Production Associate is to optimize employee and equipment effectiveness and efficiency and to reduce waste and meet company objectives. Works under direct guidance of Team Lead. Supervisor Responsibilities None Duties and Responsibilities Understands and complies with company food safety program and regulatory requirements to ensure the safe production of food. Complies with company safety/environmental program and regulatory requirements. Demonstrates company values and vivid vision. Complete all tasks with honesty and integrity. Participates in preventing errors occurring in production. Maintaining a clean, organized and audit ready work station at all times. Ensures that production and food safety documents are accurate and completed. Completes timely changeovers between production runs. Consistently meets performance expectations. Performs other projects/tasks/assignments as assigned The preceding functions have been provided as examples of the types of work performed by employees assigned to this position. Required Skills and Abilities Proficient in palletizing on all production lines. Proficient in Packing, Pouching/Filling on all production lines. Excellent interpersonal skills. Detail oriented. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to carry out position responsibilities. Ability to follow policies/procedures. Ability to prioritize workload/tasks, Ability to manage information flow (paperwork, etc.). Punctuality/Attendance. Self-directed, resourceful, creative toward meeting job objectives. Works efficiently and effectively with other employees and departments, Develops positive working relationships, etc. Takes initiative, stays productive and displays drive. Leadership – Influence other to achieve department and organizational goals, Provides constructive feedback for co-workers, encourages teamwork. Education and Experience, Required High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Education and Experience, Desired 3 years’ experience working in food manufacturing Travel Required None Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 55.115 pounds. Work Environment / Hazards The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Hazards: Gloves are required when in direct contact with food. Production Associates are required to wear PPE in designated areas. This position frequently works with hazardous substances and/or processes.
