Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology

Position Overview
Join a collaborative and high-performing Interventional Radiology (IR) team where precision, teamwork, and patient-centered care come together. We are seeking a day-shift Registered Nurse who thrives in a fast-paced procedural environment, brings a strong work ethic, and is eager to continue learning and growing.

This position is for opportunities working either 3 or 4 eight-hour shifts per week, with typical hours of 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Specific schedules may vary based on department needs.

Prior IR experience is strongly preferred; however, we welcome nurses who are motivated to develop their skills in this specialty and bring a strong clinical foundation.

As an IR Nurse, you'll support a wide range of minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures while working closely with physicians, technologists, and fellow nurses. This role includes an on-call requirement with a 30-minute response time, making reliability and teamwork essential. We're looking for someone who is adaptable, hard-working, and collaborative-an RN who values teamwork, delivers compassionate care, and contributes to a supportive, high-functioning team.

Primary Work Shift:
Day Rotational

Compensation Range:
$40.70 - $61.05 per hour, depending on experience

You will be eligible for benefits if you are hired into a regular position with at least 24 scheduled weekly hours.

Sign-On Bonus

Up to a $15,000 sign-on bonus for candidates who meet eligibility criteria.

What You'll Do

• Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for an assigned group of patients
  
• Serve as a primary or accountable nurse based on unit assignment and patient safety needs
  
• Educate patients and families on health promotion, treatment plans, and disease management
  
• Utilize pharmacology knowledge to safely administer medications in accordance with UHS policies
  
• Support effective resource use, including staffing, time management, supplies, and services
  
• Adhere to all nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and UHS policies
  
• Participate in Nursing Shared Governance, Unit Council activities, and improvement initiatives
  
• Contribute to peer review processes and integrate evidence-based practice and nursing research
  
• Provide a supportive learning environment for new employees, students, and clinical observers
  
• Engage in ongoing professional development, continuing education, and mandatory training
  
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support safe, effective patient care

Education & Experience
Minimum Required:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  
• Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting
  

Licensure & Certifications
Minimum Required:

• Current New York State Registered Nurse License
  

Preferred:

• CCRN certification
  
• Additional skills certifications as required (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC)
