Today, CHSI has expanded services and provides mental & physical healthcare to all individuals in our communities. Our services are provided on a more affordable sliding fee scale to those who are under-insured or un-insured. We also accept ND and MN Medicaid, Medicare, and most private insurance plans. We currently operate four nurse-managed clinics, two mobile medical units, and two victim advocacy program centers in Minnesota & North Dakota.Who Are We Looking For?We are on the search for a Full-time Dental Hygienist to join our Moorhead, MN team. As a Dental Hygienist, your role is to:Provide superior patient care and service; exhibit outstanding customer service and hospitality as well as chair side manner.Take radiographs of patients using standard dental radiographic equipmentStay on schedule as much as possible to create no patient wait time; help manage patient flow; maintain time flexibility for patients; be present, engaged, and ready to work at all assigned shift times. Educate patient on oral hygiene, health, disease as well as procedures and services; establish/communicate continued care.Applying preventive materials to the teeth such as fluorides and sealantsVerify patient health history and document appropriately in patient's chart.Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance • Perform the following duties as applicable by practice and/or state laws:Screen for Oral CancerTake and record patients' blood pressure accuratelyTake alginate impressions and fabricate whitening traysMaintain accurate and legible notes in patients' chartsAssist with other office duties as requested or neededAre You a Good Fit?In addition to being a wonderful team member and advocate for patients, we are seeking an individual with the below qualifications:PHYSICAL ABILITIESAbility to bend and crouch occasionally, sit continuously, and stand or walk frequently.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.Ability to use hands/arms, feet/legs for repetitive fine to large motor skill movements.EDUCATION & SKILLSValid Dental Hygienist License and Minimum of an associate degree in Dental HygieneCertification for other duties as required by the state practice actMaintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, and Infection Control training as required by lawExcellent verbal and written communication skillsVersed in Eagle Soft is highly preferredStrong multi-tasking and organizational skillsAbility to work well in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of all company policies and rulesWORK VALUESCooperation: pleasant with others on the job and displaying a good-natured, cooperative attitude.Attention to Detail: being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.Integrity: Being honest and ethical.Dependability: reliable, responsible, dependable, and fulfilling obligations.Self-Control: maintaining composure, keeping emotions in check, and avoiding aggressive behavior, even in very difficult situations.What Are the Perks, You Ask?CHSI promotes a healthy work/life balance for employees through a generous time off program.
