Marine Electrician

Talent Source is seeking skilled and experienced Marine Electricians to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment on marine vessels. Key Responsibilities Installation and Maintenance: Install and maintain electrical systems on various types of marine vessels. Perform routine maintenance and inspections of electrical equipment and systems. Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues on marine vessels. Repair or replace faulty wiring, fixtures, and equipment as necessary. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and standards. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all electrical work performed. Prepare reports on electrical issues and repairs. Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a Marine Electrician. Extensive experience with marine electrical systems and equipment. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems, including AC and DC circuits. Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics. Certification: Relevant certifications or licenses in marine electrical work are preferred. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) as needed. Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights. Education High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification or associate degree in electrical engineering or a related field is preferred.
