Quality Technician

About the Company Express Employment Professionals has partnered with a national leader in full-service metal fabrication located in Chesterfield, Michigan. With more than two decades of laser processing and program management expertise, the company provides state-of-the-art manufacturing solutions including laser cutting, plasma cutting, forming, machining, and welding services. We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to join a growing manufacturing team. Key Responsibilities Inspect small metal parts to ensure compliance with customer and company specifications Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections Utilize CMM equipment to verify dimensions and tolerances Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and inspection requirements Use precision measuring equipment including: Height gauges Calipers Micrometers Document inspection results and maintain quality records Identify non-conforming products and communicate findings appropriately Work closely with production personnel to resolve quality concerns Support continuous improvement and quality assurance initiatives Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of recent Quality Assurance experience (more experience preferred) Experience performing inspections in a manufacturing environment CMM inspection experience required Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and ever-changing environment Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to make independent judgment calls regarding product quality Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. without assistance Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings Experience using standard inspection and measuring equipment Benefits Express offers an immediate benefits package for evaluation-hire and contract positions, including: Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Holiday Pay Paid Time Off 401(k) Short-Term Disability Life Insurance Prescription Drug Reimbursement About Express Employment Professionals: Express Employment Professionals can help you find a position that is the perfect fit for your skills, experience, and career goals.
