This individual can work anywhere in North America.Note: This is a mechanical/chemical process engineering role within industrial water treatment. Candidates must have direct experience in high-purity water, UPW systems, or semiconductor water infrastructure.You will be responsible for guiding and driving a bid team to create a winning and executable solution, in partnership with our sales team. Your engagement spans the sales cycle, from lead qualification to contract signature and project handover. Specific responsibilities will include:Leading a Bid Team consisting of individuals performing functions such as Application Engineering, Process Design, Sourcing, Contract Management, and others to ensure all elements of the offer are aligned with our strategic intentLead end-to-end proposal development from RFP planning through final submission.Facilitate strategy discussions, kick-off meetings, and regular rhythm calls to guide teams toward a unified, competitive proposal approach.Develop and maintain detailed schedules and responsibility assignments to ensure complete and timely fulfillment of all requirementsConduct thorough compliance reviews of all proposal materials, confirming that required content meet every stated RFP/RFQ requirementsCultivate a culture of continuous improvement by taking on assigned initiatives and consistently tracking proposal performance capturing lessons learned and implementing meaningful enhancements that elevate proposal quality over timeStructuring system solutions, including collaborating with the sales team and extended bid teams to develop technical and commercial strategy, scope, execution model, construction partner identification/qualification (as required by deal structure) and pricingIdentification, evaluation, prioritization, and development of risk mitigation and opportunity identification strategies (performance, contractual, execution, etc.)Preparing information and presenting during Leadership reviewsAssisting the Sales team with client interaction and negotiationDeveloping and nurturing relationships with key, cross-functional, internal stakeholders across the Veolia business including Projects, Services and Chemical Solutions &Monitoring (CSM)Analysing and adjusting strategy based on new data/feedbackQualificationsMinimum requirements:With a relevant and demonstrable track record in customer facing roles, influencing and negotiation solutions and structures along with excellent organizational skills, you will also need:Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred8+ years of proposal management, applications engineering, or project management experience within industrial water treatment, with direct familiarity in Ultrapure Water (UPW), high-purity water systems, or water systems serving semiconductor / microelectronics clientsDemonstrated experience managing complex, multi volume proposalsFamiliarity with design-build, progressive design-build delivery methodsExperience in identification and mitigation of business risksFluency in English (both written and verbal)Relevant Competencies and Capabilities:Strategic mindset to develop client focused value propositionsCollaborative and have the ability to build trusted cross functional relationships and engaging effectively with stakeholdersExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearlyWorking knowledge of contract structures and pricing frameworksProven ability to manage competing priorities with strong organization discipline and effective time managementStrong leadership, facilitation and motivational capabilitiesStrong understanding of project executionInnovative problem solver who performs with agility and composure in fast paced deadline driven environmentAbility to rapidly assess competitive landscapes and translate strategic direction into actionable plansAdditional InformationAt Veolia, we realize diverse teams make smarter decisions, deliver better results, and build stronger communities.
