Senior Scientist - Sensory Testing and Claim Substantiation About this position At Henkel, you will join an organization shaped by innovation, sustainability and collaboration. You will work in the Consumer Brands business unit, contributing to Laundry & Home Care and Hair product development worldwide. What You'll Do Define and deliver robust sensory testing, analysis, interpretation, and reporting to substantiate consumer‑relevant product claims for the Laundry and Home Care business. Collaborate with R&D and Marketing teams to ensure smooth workflow and open communication. Administer sensory panel activities, coordinate with panel staff, prepare test materials, recruit and manage assessors, and compile results on schedule. Design and investigate new sensory methods, advanced techniques, and novel statistical approaches to extract relevant insights and data trends. Participate in recurring project meetings, collaborate with cross‑functional team members to define objectives, determine required sensory support, and design test protocols. What Makes You a Good Fit BS in Psychology, Food Science, Nutrition, Sensory Science, Chemistry, Marketing/Market Research, or a related scientific discipline. Completed coursework in Sensory, Statistics, Market Research or Business, and/or certification programs such as UCDavis Sensory Certification or University of Georgia Market Research Certification. Ideally 5 years of relevant work experience, focusing on sensory testing. Strong organization, time‑management, attention to detail, and oral and written communication skills. Ability to partner effectively with cross‑functional and external teams. Capacity to understand technical literature, sensory, consumer, and clinical data and integrate findings to support claim evidence or formula recommendations.
