Job Description Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center-Kenosha is seeking veterinarians passionate about working in emergency medicine for our 6-9 month training and mentorship program. We are looking for individuals who are team oriented, driven, reflective, and reliable. Training will take place offsite, at Premier Veterinary Group in Chicago, IL. The Ethos ER Immerse Training Program The ER Immerse Program will prepare veterinarians for a sustainable and satisfying career in emergency medicine. Built from the ground up to be different than traditional rotating internship programs, this hybrid training approach incorporates simulation-based didactic components into authentic training experiences with live patients. The curriculum is designed using an evidence-based strategy identifying competencies and skills essential for a successful career as an emergency clinician. In addition to clinical knowledge and skills, the program includes a focus on client and team member communication, professional skills, and life/work integration. Program Duration/Commitment 6‑9‑month training program ideally beginning June 2026, but can accommodate your preferred date. 12‑month commitment as an ER clinician following training. Locations Home site: Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center‑Kenosha – 1123 58th Ave, Somers, WI 53144. Training site: Premier Veterinary Group – 3927 W Belmont Ave., Chicago, IL 60618. Program Highlights 5‑day work week consisting of 4 clinical days, 1 didactic day, and 2 days off each week. While training in Chicago you will rotate with other specialty services during the program: Emergency, Critical Care, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Anesthesia, Radiology and Neurology. Always work with a dedicated mentor on shifts. Daily Rounds. Mentorship is tailored to meet the individual needs of the mentee. Competency‑based curriculum that includes asynchronous learning on Vetbloom and weekly live virtual didactic rounds. Regular live continuing education events led by specialists and experienced emergency doctors. Work alongside talented Emergency Veterinarians.
