Contract Details:

• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 3 months
• Pay Rate: $70.00$75.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Night shift, 312 hours, 18:4507:15; every other weekend and holiday required
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary:

This is a Labor and Delivery travel nursing contract based at a major medical center in Worcester, MA. The traveler will be assigned to a maternity float pool and will be required to work both Labor & Delivery (L&D) and Postpartum (PP) units. Local candidates are welcome and will be considered at the same bill rate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work within a maternity float pool, rotating between Labor & Delivery and Postpartum assignments as directed
• Provide clinical nursing care consistent with intermediate and above AWHONN competency standards
• Utilize Epic electronic health records system for charting and documentation
• Fulfill every-other-weekend and holiday rotation requirements

Education Requirements:

• MA RN license required (pending MA license is acceptable traveler must apply for the MA conditional/temp license within 48 hours of signing an offer)
• AWHONN certification: Intermediate level or above required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required

Required Experience:

• Minimum 12 years of Labor and Delivery experience required (with travel experience considered); 3 years strongly preferred
• Epic EMR experience required

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:

• Night shift position: 18:4507:15, 312-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• Rotating float between Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed)
• COVID-19 vaccination: Not required

Important Notes:

• Traveler must be aware of and acknowledge 2 pass/fail exams at orientation: a medication exam and a telemetry exam. Each exam allows only 1 attempt. Failure to pass either exam results in immediate contract cancellation.
• Study materials will be provided during the compliance process and FDIs.
• Pending MA license is acceptable at time of submission; upon receiving an offer, the traveler must apply for the MA conditional (temp) license within 48 hours of signing.
