The Senior Software Engineer, Sales will develop, and implement Application, Data, and Integration Engineering solutions that run our internal business, as well as evaluate existing components or systems to determine integration requirements and to ensure final solutions meet organizational needs. This role requires deep Salesforce and AI or ML knowledge, integration experience and sound judgment in order to effectively plan and deliver. The successful candidate will own multiple Business Application Projects and will be required to lead or direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected! Docusign is growing at an extraordinary pace across all vectors, providing an enormous opportunity for professional growth in this position.This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director, GTM Engineering.ResponsibilityExplore and integrate hyper automation technologies including Al or ML, intelligent document processing, and process miningDevelop backend services and domain logic layers within the Salesforce and other adjacent GTM platforms, treating Apex as a server-side programming environment for enterprise application developmentBreak down large initiatives into well-defined technical milestones, proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and architectural trade-offsProvide critical support coverage during month-end and quarter-end business cyclesBuild enterprise-grade, code-driven applications using Lightning Web Components and or Angular or React with a strong emphasis on scalable frontend layer and service orchestrationServe as the primary technical escalation point for complex platform decisions across Sales systemsOwn the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, CI or CD automation, deployment strategies, and production supportDevelop and maintain reusable frameworks, shared services, and platform utilities to standardize engineering practices and improve developer productivityMonitor performance optimization and scalability initiatives, including bulkification, asynchronous processing strategies, and system throughput improvementsImplement observability and reliability patterns, including structured logging, monitoring, alerting, and proactive incident detection and resolutionDrive technical debt remediation and platform hardening, including refactoring legacy code, improving test coverage, and enforcing engineering standardsPartner with product and engineering teams to define and deliver scalable system capabilities and servicesOwn production system health, including incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous reliability improvementsContribute to Al-enabled and agent-driven workflows by integrating external Al services into Salesforce workflowsJob DesignationHybrid:Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Docusign reserves the right to change a position's job designation depending on business needs and as permitted by local law.What you bringBasicBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field8+ years of experience in IT applications emphasizing Salesforce.com configuration, customization, and support3+ years of experience in Front endExperience with Salesforce integrations using scripted data loader, web services, cloud or on-premise middlewareExperience with CI or CD tools for SalesforceExperience working with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience CloudExperience building Aura and or Lightning Web ComponentsPreferredSalesforce Platform Developer 1 certificationDemonstrated understanding of requirements gathering, creating and deploying solutions to end usersExperience supporting Salesforce instances with 5000+ usersProficient in defining intuitive, insightful, actionable, and compelling Einstein Analytics reports and dashboardsExperience with Salesforce or SaaS applications like Eloqua, D and B Optimizer, ZoomInfo, and OutreachSuperior communication and interpersonal skillsWage TransparencyPay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:California: $146,400.00 - $235,375.00 base salaryThis role is also eligible for the following:Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals.
