Coach - Soccer, JV Girls

Overview Bellingham Public Schools – Bellingham High School – Junior Varsity Soccer Coach – Girls for the 2026-2027 school year. Funding contingent on town meeting approval. Responsibilities Plan, direct and supervise all phases of the total Soccer Program in accordance with MIAA, Tri-Valley League, Athletic Department and School policies. Oversee physiological and skill development of student‑athletes in the program. Develop each student participant to maximum potential in a program of skill, learning and improvements. Directly report to Athletic Director, in liaison with the High School Principal. Work under direction of Varsity Head Coach to ensure consistent philosophy of skill development. Organize, coach and administer the program consistently with the overall Soccer Program. Follow adopted policies of the Bellingham School Committee and Athletic Department staff handbook. Teach all skills using sound coaching practices with attention to health and safety. Maintain equipment inventory. Enforce disciplined and sportsmanlike behavior. Provide input and guidance to Head Coach. Oversee safety conditions of facility or assigned area, including locker rooms. Qualifications Dedication to the School, Student‑Athlete and Athletic Program. Comprehensive knowledge of soccer and ability to demonstrate and teach individual skills. Ability to motivate student‑athlete to maximum potential. Professional appearance and actions. Prior experience as a Soccer Coach (preferred). Certification in CPR, First Aid or equivalent (preferred). Employment as a member of teaching staff preferred.
