Orthopedic Technician Sr – Houston, TX

TruBlu HR Solutions is seeking an experienced Orthopedic Technician Sr for a contract opportunity with a leading pediatric healthcare organization in Houston, TX. This position offers strong potential for extension or permanent hire based on performance and business needs.

Schedule:
Monday–Friday with rotating shifts:
• 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Location:
Houston Medical Center area and surrounding campuses

Job Responsibilities:
• Apply fiberglass and plaster casts and splints
• Perform basic orthopedic hardware maintenance
• Assist providers during patient clinic visits and patient care activities
• Educate patients and families on cast care and skin care after cast removal
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Support clinic operations, rooming patients, and managing patient flow
• Monitor and maintain casting and clinic supplies
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and families

Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum 3 years of orthopedic casting and splinting experience required
• Experience with fiberglass and plaster casting required
• Knowledge of orthopedic instrumentation, hardware, and equipment
• Strong communication, customer service, and time management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Pediatric orthopedic experience preferred
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
