This position combines patient education, care coordination, workflow management, and phlebotomy support to provide a seamless, compassionate, and high-quality patient experience.You will work closely with clinical teams and partner locations to help patients understand their testing options, complete required steps, and receive timely support throughout the process.In addition to competitive compensation, this position offers a comprehensive benefits package and stock options within a growing healthcare technology organization.Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Navigation & CommunicationGuide patients through the hereditary cancer genetic testing process from start to finish.Explain testing, procedures, and next steps in a clear, compassionate, and professional manner.Serve as a primary point of contact for patients, answering questions and providing ongoing support.Conduct structured patient consultations to ensure consistent and accurate communication.Clinic Integration & Partner RelationshipsBuild strong working relationships with partner site staff, providers, and clinical teams.Support daily clinic workflows and serve as a trusted extension of partner locations.Adapt to changing clinic needs, schedules, and priorities while maintaining a high standard of service.Workflow Management & Follow-UpManage patient cases, scheduling, follow-ups, and workflow coordination.Proactively identify and address barriers that may prevent patients from completing testing.Maintain timely callbacks and consistent communication with patients and clinical partners.Help ensure patients move efficiently through each stage of the testing process.Clinical Support & PhlebotomyPerform venipuncture and collect blood specimens for genetic testing.Verify patient identity and ensure proper specimen labeling, handling, and transport.Follow established clinical protocols, safety standards, and compliance requirements.Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in EMR/EHR systems.Knowledge & ComplianceDevelop a strong understanding of genetic testing workflows, insurance processes, and patient eligibility requirements.Assist with insurance verification and prior authorization processes as needed.Maintain HIPAA compliance and accurate data entry.Provide patients with clear information about testing requirements and next steps.Patient Experience & Problem-SolvingCreate a welcoming, professional, and supportive environment for patients.Address patient questions and concerns with empathy and professionalism.Identify and help resolve scheduling, insurance, and workflow challenges.Contribute ideas to improve patient engagement, testing completion, and the overall patient experience.Required QualificationsCurrent national phlebotomy certification and strong venipuncture skills.Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a front-office or back-office healthcare setting.Minimum of 2 years of experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Experience with diagnostic specimen collection or genetic testing specimens.Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation if travel between locations is required.Preferred QualificationsCertified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification.Two or more years of experience in an outpatient clinic or patient service center.Experience in genetics, oncology, women's health, or specialty diagnostics.Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and strong documentation skills.Experience providing high-quality, patient-facing healthcare support.Healthcare students and candidates pursuing clinical careers are encouraged to apply.Why Join HALO Dx?Make a meaningful impact through early detection and advanced diagnostics.Enjoy a consistent weekday schedule with no weekends, nights, or holidays.Receive ongoing training and opportunities for professional growth and advancement.Join a growing healthcare technology organization focused on improving patient care.Benefits IncludeMedical, dental, vision, and life insurance.401(k) plan.Paid vacation, holidays, and sick time.Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA).Disability insurance.Employee discounts.Stock options in a growing healthcare technology company.Equal Employment OpportunityHALO Precision Diagnostics is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
