Description

• Assess patients of all ages-including pediatric, adult, and geriatric-with standardized tests and keen observational methods.
• Create customized treatment plans tailored to meet both short-term goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions concentrating on communication, language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing issues.
• Collaborate seamlessly with interdisciplinary teams-physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families-to forge comprehensive care strategies.
• Provide essential education to both patients and their families, equipping them with tools to support progress beyond clinical encounters.
• Conduct occasional inpatient evaluations and therapies, ensuring a seamless and continuous care experience throughout the treatment continuum.
• Maintain thorough and prompt documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage with ongoing professional development, staying informed about advancements in the field and fostering peer collaboration.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• The completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• The Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary within 30 days of hire.
