Senior AI Agentic Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Level AI Agentic Senior Technical Engineer for a hybrid 9-12 month contract opportunity with a Regional Financial Institution located in Columbus, OH. This role will work on a hybrid schedule, 4 days per week on site. Candidates can work in multiple locations: Columbus, OH; Dallas, TX; Minneapolis, MN or Charlotte, NC. Compensation: $107.00 - $117.00 per hour, W2, based on experience and qualifications Position Overview: This role is responsible for building AI agents, developing API integrations, and implementing Pub/Sub messaging solutions. The ideal candidate understands the full agentic AI development lifecycle and has experience designing and developing AI solutions. Initially, the role focuses on building AI capabilities for the Commercial Services Loan Operations team, with the expectation that these solutions will eventually scale across the enterprise. This is a hands-on development role that involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams. The candidate will assume ownership of the current project during the handoff phase, ensuring continuity and successful delivery. Strong communication skills, the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, and the ability to lead technical direction and drive change are essential. Primary Requirements: 7–10 years of software engineering experience Experience developing and integrating APIs Experience with end-to-end testing of agentic AI solutions Cloud engineering experience, including hands-on experience with GCP and Cloud Run (required). Cloud Integration exp a must. Java development experience Kubernetes experience Desired Skills: Azure experience AWS experience Experience with Pub/Sub and event-driven architectures Strong communication and collaboration skills Banking or financial services experience (preferred, but not required) Experience leading technical initiatives or engineering teams in this domain Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
