Registered Dietitian-Per Diem
Rome Health is seeking a Per Diem Registered Dietitian to join our dedicated Food and Nutrition team. We are looking for a compassionate, knowledgeable professional who is committed to providing exceptional nutritional care and education to our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Understand and perform diet office procedures.
- Assess patients' nutritional needs and develop appropriate nutrition care plans.
- Provide individualized nutrition counseling and education to patients and their families.
- Accurately document nutrition assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
- Apply dietetic principles and evidence-based practices to support patient care.
- Recommend and implement appropriate modified diets and dietary restrictions based on patients' medical conditions.
- Address the nutritional needs of patients with a wide variety of acute and chronic health conditions.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
Licensure/Certification:
- Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential required.
- Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist (CDN) in New York State preferred.
