Phlebotomist

Location: Lowell, MA Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm with every 3rd Saturday rotation. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and promptly. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications Current or previous LabCorp experience. 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist. Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or training program must come from an accredited agency if work experience is lacking. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test. Pay Range Pay Range: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour Benefits Employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours, as well as Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees, are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
