Quality Analyst Engineer I

Working with one of our development teams to write and execute testcases based on requirements written by the product team andreporting on the status of the execution of those tests throughoutthe process. The ideal candidate will be someone that is able tothink creatively about how an application is used and how we canensure that the end user is getting what they expected. This position is in IT Development. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures. Participate in product design reviews to provide input onfunctional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potentialproblems. Analyze data to identify or resolve operational problems. Write, execute and monitor automated testing suites. Perform exploratory testing for application under testing. Qualifications, Credentials, and Competencies Bachelor's degree required. Experience in writing test cases, performing manual testing,and conducting exploratory testing is required. Basic experience with automated test scripting and monitoringtesting. Familiarity with SQL testing and Agile software developmentprocesses is required. Preferred: ASTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level. Preferred: Familiarity with Microsoft PowerShell, andexperience with CI/CD tools such as GCP, Azure, or OpenShift. Preferred: Understanding of the practical application ofengineering science and technology. Preferred: Experience with SDLC tools such as Jira, TFS, orequivalent. Effective communication both verbally and in writing. Ability to intuitively reason, analyze information and events,and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine andcomplex nature. Excellent computer and organizational skills. If the employee is required to travel in performing the dutiesand responsibilities of the position, the use of one’s personalvehicle (or LU vehicles) may be required for travel. Proof of avalid driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, LU DrivingApproval, and liability insurance is required when driving in theperformance of the employee’s position. Time Type Full time Location Remote Location Pay Range Compensation is determined based on factors such as qualifications,experience, education, skills, and certifications, along withUniversity needs and external market conditions. Market benchmarksmay be used, as appropriate, in combination with internal equity toensure pay is fair and aligned with the broader compensationstructure.
