How you’ll make an impact As the Systems Administrator II, you will provide onsite technical support to clients and be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving the client’s network infrastructure. You will act as an advocate for the client, ensuring Ntiva and the client are aligned to reach the common goal of a secured and high-performance infrastructure that meets their business needs. Location and Work Expectations Work on‑site with various clients throughout the Washington DC area, providing immersive and dynamic work experience. You will visit different client sites every day, building diverse professional relationships and making a significant impact in the industry. Must have a valid driver’s license and insured vehicle. Travel may require up to 1.5 hr drive to the location. Monday – Friday; this role also includes participation in a rotating on‑call schedule four times a year that includes weekends. What you’ll be doing Attend scheduled client appointments daily to provide end‑user support and maintain, upgrade and manage client infrastructures. Maintain & troubleshoot local and cloud infrastructure. Maximize monitoring platform (CW‑Automate) for endpoints. Complete recurring preventive maintenance checklist (evaluate networks to ensure networking devices and servers are up to date; schedule downtime with clients on major upgrades). Ensure network infrastructure is secured, up to date, organized and documented. Validate & test backup solutions (file, image & disaster recovery). Work with operations teams to maintain company technology standards. Collaborate with the Solutions Architect team to aid in analyzing, designing, & deploying new technology. Provide excellent customer service & support to end users with IT requests either onsite or remote (installing, upgrading & monitoring computer hardware & software). Work closely with client POCs to resolve user issues, set clear expectations, keep communication clear, and prioritize workloads. Maintain documentation up to date. Partner with the Account Management team to deliver great client experiences in a timely fashion; create new opportunities, cascade issues, report incidents. Coordinate with the Dispatch team to meet client schedule expectations. You’ll be successful in this role if you have experience in/with 3+ years of experience in information technology. General MSP industry knowledge. Ability to maintain and occasionally implement a variety of networking technology: firewalls, switches, UPS, servers, SANs, NAS, printers, WAP, computers. Ability to administer & audit Office365 end‑user administration. Experience troubleshooting Windows server roles: GPO, DHCP, DNS, NPS, WSUS, IIS, AD, DFS. Service and troubleshoot end‑user issues (computer hardware, OS, software). Strong communication skills to collaborate with various departments. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a tactful and professional demeanor. Intermediate to advanced level of Microsoft platforms. US citizenship required due to government contracts. Strong problem‑solving capabilities. Valid driving license & traveling required. Ability to sustain extended periods of sitting or standing and regular use of computers and office equipment. Bonus points if you have Experience supporting technical environments governed by compliance and regulatory frameworks such as CMMC, ITAR, NIST, and related standards. Experience within or supporting government agencies. Desired certification: CMMC Registered Practitioner. Required language skills Professional written and oral communication in English. Capability to write business correspondence and process procedures. Effective presentation of information and response to questions from managers, clients, and the general public. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds rarely. Must perform frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, and turning. Must perform occasional reaching over shoulder height, waist level, and from floor. Must work in a fast‑paced environment. Must work in an unsupervised environment. Must drive/sit for extended periods. Equipment/Machinery Used Two‑wheel dolly. Basic tools (screwdrivers, vacuums, etc.). Laptops & desktop computers. Compensation & Benefits The base pay range for this position is expected to be between $65,000 and $80,000 per year. The base pay offered may vary depending on non‑discriminatory factors including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, and PTO. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. Work Authorization Criteria This position requires U.S. citizenship due to federal government contract obligations and access to secured information systems. Workspace Requirements and Remote Work Policy Team members must establish a dedicated safe workspace that is free from distractions, hazards, and secured from unauthorized access. This includes following Ntiva’s IT User and Security Policies that include password‑protecting all equipment, keeping confidential and proprietary documents secure, refraining from using public Wi‑Fi, and having adequate arrangements to avoid significant interruptions from caregiving responsibilities during work hours (except in emergency situations with manager approval). Any remote work away from a team member’s normal expected dedicated safe workspace must be requested by the employee, is subject to review by management, and must adhere to Ntiva policies and procedures.
