Retention Coordinator

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Primarily responsible to monitor and review the progress of probationary employees throughout the training process. This role will conduct job previews for hourly applicants and may help identify training needs through discussions with leaders.RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:Monitor and review the progress of employees through feedback meetings and discussions with supervisors and, based on these meetings, identify employee training and development needs within the production departmentHelp line leaders and supervisors solve specific training problems; either in a one-on-one basis or in groupsPartner with HR Coordinator or Recruiter to schedule job preview for hourly applicants; explain all facets of position for the applicants to ensure they understand the physical requirements, environment, etc. during the job preview processInstruct employees about exercise activities designed to improve strength, endurance, and the hardening process within the first three days of employmentPromote employee recognition throughout the production departmentPerform additional duties as assignedEDUCATION and CERTIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not requiredEXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:Ability to communicate and comprehend English; ability to communicate in two or more languages preferredAbility to engage employees and communicate job tasks in a comprehensive mannerBasic computer and math skillsSAFETY REQUIREMENTS:Follow departmental and company safety policies and programsWear required protective equipment in all areas where mandatoryPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to work in a hot or cold and wet environmentAbility to stand for an 8 hour shiftAbility to work non-standard hours (holidays, weekends and extended shifts) as neededWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. #J-18808-Ljbffr Jobleads-US
