Heavy Diesel Mechanic

Job Description

The Heavy Diesel Mechanic plays a critical role in maintaining and repairing heavy trucks and construction equipment. This position involves team collaboration and the use of specialized diagnostic software to ensure reliable operation of heavy diesel engines such as X15, Cummins, and DD15. The mechanic will also handle trailer repairs and hydraulic and electrical systems maintenance.

Responsibilities

Perform engine diagnostics using specialized software
Conduct maintenance and repairs on heavy diesel engines
Service hydraulic and electrical systems on trucks and equipment
Carry out welding and fabrication tasks as needed
Maintain and manage tools and equipment
Repair trailers and construction equipment
Collaborate effectively within a team setting

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years experience in heavy diesel mechanics
High school diploma or equivalent
Commercial Driver's License (CDL) not must
Proficient in diesel engine repair and preventive maintenance
Skilled in welding and fabrication
Strong troubleshooting and time management skills
Commitment to safety compliance
