Sr. Technical Inspector

Sr. Technical Inspector East Hartford, CT Contract Pay range $35 to 45/Hr Key Responsibilities: Become a Technical Expert in Inspection Practices Operate and manage handheld devices for photography, magnetoscope inspections, and airflow bench operations. Utilize web-based tools for digital annotation and documentation. Provide technical expertise and guidance to other technicians. Monitor workflow and ensure proper prioritization as dictated by engineering. Perform spot checks to ensure deliverables meet quality standards. Follow Proper Standard Work Procedures Select appropriate tools, fixtures, molds, and other equipment. Ensure proper bench set‑up and be aware of expected values. Document values accurately in correct formatted templates. Contribute to the continuous improvement of inspection practices. Troubleshoot issues with inspection bench equipment and resolve problems promptly. Data Documentation Comfortable using MS Excel for documenting inspection data and other technical information. Special Projects Manage and participate in special projects not covered under the standard operating procedures (SOW). Supply Ordering Order supplies for Crib and D‑Bldg Team members as needed. Foster Communication Between Departments Maintain clear and effective communication with HSE, MPE, CPR, and external vendors via MS Outlook/Teams. Interact with CPR Inventory Database (LotusNotes) and submit work requests to MPE (Granta). Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 2‑4 years in a technical role with a focus on inspections, equipment handling, or project management. Proficiency with handheld inspection devices and airflow bench operations. Strong understanding of standard work procedures and documentation practices. Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel for data documentation and analysis. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with inspection equipment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Experience working with MS Outlook, Teams, and LotusNotes is preferred. Other: Detail‑oriented and able to work with minimal supervision.
