Pastoral Care Associate

Responsibilities

The heart of this position is providing pastoral care and support to Trinity's members of all ages and stages. Responsibilities include regular and emergency visitation, and working with the Pastor and Pastoral Care team and office staff to coordinate spiritual and material support for members. Persons in this position have also been able to use their unique gifts and calling to enrich congregational life, such as offering spiritual direction and support groups, working with children and younger families, and planning events for fun, fellowship, and community outreach.

Qualifications

While an ordained Presbyterian Church (USA) clergy would be ideal, we celebrate our full-communion relationships that enable ministers ordained in the UCC, RCA, or ELCA to serve in sacramental functions. We have also recently employed an Episcopalian priest, a Mennonite elder, and individuals within the ordination process of the PC(USA). A Master of Divinity, either completed or near completion, is strongly preferred, though our team is willing to consider other academic and professional degrees along with relevant career experience.

The position has been part-time (20-25 hours a week), but we are open to negotiating time and benefits to make this a sustainable position for a top candidate. Salary and benefits will be at competitive levels for our presbytery.
