Senior Civil Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead the planning, design, and delivery of civil engineering projects across site-improvement programs. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and producing civil engineering design for commercial and site-improvement projects, ensuring designs meet client needs, codes, and industry best practices.
• Preparing and reviewing construction documents, detailed drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
• Providing construction administration and field support, including responding to contractor queries, reviewing submittals, and conducting site inspections.
• Applying civil engineering principles to solve complex technical problems related to grading, drainage, utilities, pavements, and erosion control.
• Coordinating project schedules, budgets, and deliverables; managing consultants and subcontractors as needed.
• Serving as project technical lead and primary client contact; presenting designs and progress to clients, stakeholders, and permitting agencies.
• Mentoring and training junior engineers and technicians; providing guidance on design standards, calculations, and professional development.
• Ensuring projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards; overseeing permitting and approvals.
• Contributing to proposal development, scope definition, and fee estimating for new work opportunities.

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with current P.E. Registration in CA.
• 7+ years of progressive civil engineering experience with demonstrated design expertise.
• Proven experience in civil engineering design and preparation of construction documents for commercial and site improvement projects.
• Strong skills in preparing technical specifications and construction administration.
• Proficiency with design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and common engineering analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills; ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and present technical information clearly.
• Experience with permitting processes and working with regulatory agencies.
