This position offers an excellent career development opportunity for someone looking to grow with Halff, with potential for not only business and personal growth, but ownership in the firm.What you will do:Responsible for the management, growth, and leadership of the Construction Engineering and Inspection Teams in South and West TexasProvide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to project administrators, and inspectorsProvide project management and oversight as the CEI Senior Project Engineer for current and future projects within TexasThe successful candidate will manage CEI Construction Services projects, and operations for Austin, Midland and surrounding counties in South and West Texas:Lead pursuits for CEI opportunities with local government and TxDOTProvide leadership, supervision, training, and development to CEI project administrators, and inspectorsProvide CEI Senior Project Engineer duties as per TxDOT standard scope of services to current and future projectsLead by example in Safety and QualityManage budgets, personnel, schedules, sub consultants, and client interactionSupport operations managers and practice leaders in business development and pursuit of construction engineering and inspection opportunitiesWhat you will need:Bachelor's degree or master's degree in civil engineering or ABET accredited equivalent engineering degreeProfessional Engineer (PE) License in the State of TexasValid Texas Driver's License10+ years of experience in roadway design and managing projects for DOT and/or municipal projects, preferably in TexasThorough knowledge of inspection methods and techniques, construction materials, methods, and equipment, trade processes and safety proceduresAbility to lead complex transportation projects, including project design, financials, and schedulesAbility to read and interpret contract drawings, specifications and CPM schedules for projectsAbility to assist in evaluation of contractor claimsAbility to apply requirements of contract documents to construction issues problemsA good knowledge of laboratory testing methods and the ability to read and interpret reported test resultsKnowledge and understanding of Texas Testing MethodsKnowledge and practical understanding of the TxDOT Construction Project Administration ManualStrong technical ability and be able to provide guidance to technical staff with a commitment to qualityTxDOT Advanced Maintenance of TrafficCompletion of TxDOT Critical Structures Construction Issues Self Study courseThe Halff Construction Services Advantage:Full spectrum of your project needs: transportation, water/wastewater, utilities, power transmission and vertical construction.Outstanding relationships with owners, stakeholders and developers across multiple regions and disciplines.Unified BIM platform.
