Adobe Applied Science & Machine Learning (ASML) group is looking for applied research scientists and engineers to help us build the next generation of creative tools. Data Research org within ASML is looking for an applied Scientist with experience in image/video understanding and generation. We seek candidates with strong expertise in the field, as evidenced by peer-reviewed academic publications, combined with hands-on industrial research experience.As an Applied Scientist at ASML, you will be joining an outstanding team of applied researchers and engineers building the future of digital experiences. You will have the opportunity to develop novel ideas to advance the Creativity world through features in Adobe's products and reach millions of people worldwide!What you will be responsible for:Develop and implement scalable and efficient modeling algorithms that can work with large-scale data in production systemsDevelop and fine-tune (e.g., ViTs, VLMs, multimodal encoders) large-scale foundation models for video understanding and generationCollaborate with extraordinary researchers and engineers to bring research ideas to productionConvert a research idea/paper to code in Python and typical machine learning development toolkitsStay on top of the latest ML research (e.g., diffusion models, alignment methods, multimodal understanding) and translate advances into practical solutionsWhat you'll need to succeed:Masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI/ML or related fieldsExcellent communication skillsStrong proficiency in Python and PyTorchSolid foundation in computer science fundamentalsExperience with distributed training and its common strategiesExperience in state-of-the-art Generative AI technologies, such as VLMs and diffusion modelsStrong hands-on experience working on image/video understanding, generation and editingWorking with large-scale datasetsGood publication record in Computer Vision, AI/ML or related fieldsAbout AdobeAdobe empowers everyone to create through innovative platforms and tools that unleash creativity, productivity and personalized customer experiences. The U.S. pay range for this position is $120,700 -- $238,600 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In Washington, the pay range for this position is $146,300 - $211,850 At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.
