A valued client of ours, a leading New Mexico law firm, has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant in their Albuquerque office. This hybrid role supports attorneys within the litigation practice group, offering the chance to tackle complex, high-level legal projects within a highly collaborative team environment.

Job Responsibilities for the Litigation Legal Assistant:

• Organize, review, and index discovery documents; prepare medical chronologies.
• Draft pleadings and various legal documents; conduct foundational legal research.
• Organize and electronically file (e-file) court documents.
• Prepare exhibits for depositions and trial; provide active assistance to attorneys during trial proceedings.
• Support and manage electronic discovery processes.
• Provide dedicated administrative assistance to two or more attorneys.
• Proactively manage attorney calendars, scheduling, and deadlines.
• Serve as a point of contact for clients and third parties; maintain client contact logs.
• Maintain organized case materials, physical/digital files, and assist with document editing and proofreading.
• Assist with client billing and time-entry processes.

Qualifications for the Litigation Legal Assistant:

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, legal assistant, or legal secretary. Specific experience within a litigation practice group is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel), PDF management, and calendaring applications.
• Strong familiarity with electronic discovery (e-discovery) applications is highly recommended.
• Preference given to candidates with experience in TrialDirector and IPro.
• Exceptional organizational and case management skills; high-level communication and client service abilities.

Compensation for the Litig ation Legal Assistant:

$28 - $33 hourly
