Job Description The Golf Sales Associate at Van's Golf Shops is responsible for promoting and maintaining a store culture consistent with Worldwide Golf’s values, including the “Sure No Problem” philosophy. Responsibilities include: Maintain awareness of all golf product knowledge, terminology, merchandise promotions, demo products, and sale advertisements. Evaluate customers’ needs, apply knowledge of golf equipment features and benefits, and make recommendations on the right golf equipment. Educate customers on our golf products and help them compare differences to make an educated decision. Operate launch monitor and golf simulator equipment to provide customers with valuable data during in‑store experience. Assist with floor moves, merchandising, and keep the sales floor organized and clean to meet Worldwide Golf’s standards. Research merchandise availability via computer database; requisition merchandise from the stockroom and take inventory of stock as needed. Recognize and suggest ways to improve processes once fully trained. Perform any other duties as assigned by management. Requirements Ability to spend work time standing or moving around the store, including bending, stooping, lifting up to 15 lb, carrying, walking, and reaching on a frequent basis. Knowledge of word‑processing, spreadsheet, inventory, internet, and order processing systems. Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
