Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery (L&D) in Olympia, WA, US
Start date: 06/30/2026 | Duration: 13 weeks | Weekly pay: $1,852–$1,931 per week | Guaranteed hours: 0.0 | Shift: 3x12-hour days | Setting: hospital travel assignment with Level II NICU support

- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend (EOW)
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Travel eligibility: Locals not eligible — travelers with permanent residence within 50 miles are not eligible for travel contracts

Responsibilities
- Provide direct obstetric nursing care across labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, manage labor progression, pain control, and respond to obstetric emergencies
- Assist with cesarean deliveries, participate in intraoperative care, and support postpartum recovery
- Administer medications, initiate IV lines, and document care in the charting system
- Coordinate with NICU and unit support services (Respiratory, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, Interpretation, Rapid Response) to ensure seamless patient care
- Collaborate with the care team to promote patient safety, infection control, and smooth transitions of care; may float to like units as needed

Requirements
- Licenses: WA RN license; pending license accepted (preference for quick starts)
- Certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS required; AWHONN Intermediate preferred
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of clinical experience with L&D, postpartum, and cesarean care
- Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program; current RN in good standing
- Additional: First-time travelers accepted; ability to work in a hospital setting; EPIC charting experience or willingness to learn
