Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - NICU

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) or Day 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00) shifts. Weekend shifts required every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide high-quality respiratory care in a Level 3 NICU as well as support in a Level 2 Adult ICU environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, experience in neonatal care, and the ability to manage complex respiratory conditions.

Responsibilities

• Administering respiratory therapies and treatments to neonatal patients.
• Monitoring and assessing respiratory function and interventions.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Floating between the NICU and Adult ICU as needed, requiring flexibility and adaptability.
• Implementing protocols for high-risk deliveries and emergency situations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Washington State Respiratory Therapist License (RRT) is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level 3 NICU and Level 2 Adult ICU.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CRT, NRP, PALS.
• Experience with specific procedures such as intubation assistance and high-frequency jet ventilation is preferred.
