Job Title: Rehabilitation Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Rehabilitation Nurse Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current Illinois Registered Nurse license Certifications: Current CPR/BLS Card Must-Have: Stroke certification preferred but not required Description: This position is for night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM for inpatient rehabilitation. The responsibilities include all the tasks typically found on a medical floor, with the exception of managing Heparin drips. The unit serves a high neuro population, making stroke certification a beneficial asset. Work involves weekends, specifically every third weekend on Friday and Saturday nights. Sundays are considered part of the regular work week, but some flexibility may be accommodated. The role includes assessing patients to determine their mental, physical, and spiritual needs. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individual plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team. It is important to provide explanations and instructions to patients or responsible parties. The ability to use clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient conditions is critical. Contributing to a healthy workplace environment involves managing conflict with professional communication skills. Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care must be met. Participation in continuing education is expected. Maintaining complete and accurate medical records is required.
