Senior Revenue Accountant

Oil And Gas Revenue Reporting AccountantWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Oil and Gas Revenue Reporting Accountant to join our team. This role is responsible for analyzing and recording revenue accrual and re-accrual entries with minimal supervision, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and supporting accurate and timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of oil and gas accounting principles, revenue recognition, and accrual methodologies.Job Responsibilities:Include but are not limited to:Analyze monthly revenue data, including production volumes and pricing, to support accrual and re-accrual processesPrepare journal entries for operated and non-operated propertiesReconcile revenue accruals to actuals and investigate variances, including support for PPA analysisCollaborate cross-functionally with other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate revenue reportingPrepare monthly account reconciliationsAssist with the preparation of financial reporting and disclosures related to revenueSupport team members as needed to meet reporting objectivesEnsure all revenue reporting deadlines are met in a timely mannerPerform ad hoc analysis and special projects as assignedEnsure compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements related to revenue processesRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree (BBA or BS) in Accounting or FinanceMinimum of Five (5+) years of Accounting Experience, with three (3+) of those years being in Oil & Gas AccountingAdvanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., XLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables)Strong understanding of revenue accounting and general accounting principlesPreferred Qualifications:Demonstrated experience driving process improvements and implementing efficienciesAbility to adapt to changing priorities and work assignmentsExcellent organizational and time management skillsStrong attention to detail with the ability to quickly learn new systems and conceptsExperience with SAP or similar ERP systemsRelocation:This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.Work Authorization:Diamondback Energy is not currently sponsoring employment visas for this position.Diamondback is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
