Full Time Occupational Therapist

Occupational Therapists play a vital role in helping patients regain independence, confidence, and quality of life after illness or injury. Working closely with physicians and an interdisciplinary care team, you will evaluate needs, develop individualized care plans, and provide hands-on treatment that supports recovery through every stage of healing. Your role will include:

• Evaluating each patient's functional abilities and needs, then developing individualized therapy plans in coordination with physicians and the care team.
• Delivering skilled, evidence-based interventions that promote healing, independence, and quality of life through purposeful, compassionate care.
• Monitoring patient progress, adjusting plans as needed, and ensuring thorough, timely documentation that reflects quality outcomes.
• Educating patients and families to build understanding, confidence, and engagement throughout recovery and beyond.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary partners to ensure seamless transitions of care, safe environments, and exceptional patient experiences.
• Leading by exampleproviding guidance to therapy assistants or students and upholding HCA Healthcare's mission, values, and commitment to excellence.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Bachelors Degree
• (OT) Occupational Therapist

We are an Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Primary Stroke Center. HCA Florida Palms West Hospital has emergency services, a dedicated New Life Center and a Level II NICU. We have a full-service Children's Hospital. Services include outpatient rehabilitation, an aquatics center, orthopedic spine center, robotics, and interventional radiology.
