As a Security Officer Warehouse Security Officer in University Park, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help support smooth site operations through visible presence, routine patrols, and strong communication. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys customer service and security-related responsibilities while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and guided by integrity.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to all visitors, drivers, and personnel by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, and supporting approved entry and exit activity at the location.
• Monitor access points, visitor logs, and delivery activity to help support security-related procedures for a busy logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or policy concerns, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
