Start Date: ASAP after successful credentialing
Duration: 90 Days – Extension Possible
Schedule: 40 Hours/Week
Shift Options: 4 × 10-hour shifts OR 5 × 8-hour shifts
Hours: Between 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, Monday–Friday
Pay Rate: $115–$145/hour
Estimated Weekly Pay: $4,600–$5,800/week
Assignment Type: Locum Tenens Contract

Job Summary

Will Rogers Health Center is seeking a qualified Family Practice Physician to provide primary care services to patients of all ages , including pediatric and adult patients.

The physician will provide comprehensive primary care, evaluate and treat patients, manage acute and chronic conditions, and work collaboratively with the clinical team. The patient load will gradually increase after orientation to approximately 18–24 scheduled patients per day .

This is a 90-day placement with the possibility of extension and potential full-time employment within the Cherokee Nation health system.

Requirements

• Oklahoma physician license – REQUIRED, no exceptions

• MD or DO

• Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or potentially Emergency Medicine training/experience

• Must be comfortable treating patients of all ages

• Must be able to manage both adult and pediatric primary care

• Ability to work independently

• Flexible and team-oriented

• Experience in tribal or rural healthcare preferred but not required

• 18–24 patients/day after orientation

• Cerner experience preferred but not required

• Must complete required credentialing and clearance processes

Required Credentials

• Active Oklahoma MD/DO License

• Board certification, active participation toward certification, or eligibility for examination in Family Medicine through the appropriate ABMS/AOA-recognized board

Internal Medicine candidates may also be considered if they meet the applicable board certification/training requirements.

Schedule & Work Environment

• 40 hours/week

• Monday–Friday

• Schedule options:

  • 4 × 10-hour shifts , or

  • 5 × 8-hour shifts

• Working hours between 7:00 AM–5:30 PM

• No call

• No float

• Lunch required

• No overtime

• Must be flexible with scheduling

• Must be able to work independently
