Job Overview : We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and plating dishes to the highest standards, ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen operation. Key Responsibilities : Food Preparation : Prepare and cook menu items as directed by the Head Chef, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Manager, ensuring consistency and quality. Cooking & Plating : Cook and plate food items to order, adhering to the restaurant's specifications and presentation standards. Station Setup : Set up and stock food stations with the necessary ingredients and equipment for smooth kitchen operation. Time Management : Work efficiently to meet the demands of a high-volume kitchen, ensuring all orders are completed in a timely manner. Inventory & Stocking : Help maintain stock levels, and report shortages or low stock to management. Cleanliness & Sanitation : Follow proper food safety and sanitation standards, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen workspace. Team Collaboration : Work closely with fellow kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure effective communication and smooth kitchen operations. Quality Control : Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standard in terms of taste, texture, and presentation. Adaptability : Adjust to varying menu changes, special requests, and customer preferences while maintaining a positive attitude and professionalism. Qualifications : Experience : Minimum of 3 years working as a line cook or in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Skills : Knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety regulations. Physical Stamina : Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and work in a hot, fast-paced environment. Attention to Detail : Ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely to ensure consistent quality and taste. Team Player : Must be able to work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and under the direction of chefs and management. Communication : Clear communication skills to ensure effective teamwork and customer satisfaction. Flexibility : Ability to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Preferred Qualifications : Culinary degree or certification is a plus. Experience with high-volume cooking or fine dining is a plus.
