MRI Technologist - PRN

MRI Technologist - PRN City of Hope is a leading cancer research and treatment organization dedicated to patient-centered care. Schedule: As needed dayshift role Monday to Friday, with additional as needed call overnight Monday to Friday and weekend days/overnights. Responsibilities Operate Magnetic Resonance (MR) equipment safely and proficiently, including scanners, coils, power injectors, and patient monitoring devices. Adhere to organizational policies, compliance standards, and ethical practice while delivering patient-centered care. Produce high-quality diagnostic images with minimal repeats, demonstrating initiative, independent judgment, and a positive attitude. Manage multiple room assignments, perform a wide range of MRI exams, and maintain effective communication with physicians, patients, families, and staff. Contribute to performance improvement initiatives and support departmental operations through clerical tasks, inventory management, stocking supplies, and light housekeeping as needed. Qualifications Minimum Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Minimum Experience: 1 year hospital experience. Required Courses/Training: Completion of an accredited MRI or radiologic technology program (associate degree or certificate) covering anatomy, physics, MRI procedures, and patient care. Certification/Licensure: Registered by the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) in MRI and/or ARMRIT (American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists).
