Pharmacists provide supervision of pharmacy technicians per South Carolina Board of Pharmacy regulations.Job Description:Purpose: The Inpatient Clinical Specialist Pharmacist provides distributive and clinical pharmacy services to the inpatients and outpatients of the Medical University Hospitals and clinics. Pharmacists provide supervision of pharmacy technicians per South Carolina Board of Pharmacy regulations.Requirements:KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESA doctoral degree of Pharmacy or Bachelor's degree in pharmacy from an ACPE Accredited School of Pharmacy is required.Completion of a pharmacy residency preferred.LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONSSC Registered Pharmacist License (or eligible for SC Pharmacist License)Basic Life Support certification: Must be BLS Certified within three months of hire date and maintain certification throughout employment.Physical RequirementsNOTE: The following descriptions are applicable to this section: 1) Continuous – 6-8 hours per shift; 2) Frequent – 2-6 hours per shift; 3) Infrequent – 0-2 hours per shiftAbility to perform job functions while standing.
