Description OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY: Identify, evaluate, interpret, and document findings from Non‑Destructive Test (NDT) inspections on structures, assemblies, systems, components, materials, and parts to ensure compliance with applicable specifications and drawings. Responsibilities Set up, maintain, and operate NDT equipment and processes using visual, magnetic particle, and/or dye penetrant testing. Determine inspection methods and appropriate techniques based on specifications, drawings, and engineering information. Identify, interpret, analyze, and document inspection results according to acceptance criteria. Record data from sketches, drawings, test procedures, blueprints, and other engineering sources. Assist engineering and Level III Inspectors in developing inspection procedures, specifications, and techniques specific to local needs. Process and complete necessary disposition and documentation for acceptance or rejection of parts or materials. Maintain solutions to accepted standards and set drying ovens, immersion times, drying times, and washing procedures. Perform inspections on rocket motors, small ordnance items, and miscellaneous hardware. Annotate processing documentation as needed. Conduct inspections for non‑Production partnership (P2) operations and review blueprints for support equipment alterations. Qualifications Level I: Formal training and on‑the‑job training (OJT) with certified Level II personnel; basic calibration and inspection skills; no code sign‑off responsibility. Level II: NAS410 certification or equivalent in NDT test methods; ability to calibrate, inspect, interpret, and evaluate accept/reject decisions; responsibility to train Level I inspectors under Level III oversight. Physical: Pass pre‑employment physical and drug screen; possess a valid Washington State driver’s license. Security Clearance: Must obtain and retain a Department of Defense Secret clearance (interim Secret clearance required to start); U.S. citizenship required. Desired Skills American Welding Society Certified Weld Inspector (CWI). PT and MT Level II NDT Inspector to NAS410. Setup and operation of various NDT equipment. Inspection of parts and assemblies for defects using magnetic particle testing. Familiarity with inspection practices and procedures for missiles and components. Security Clearance Requires a government security clearance; position requires Secret clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen. Work Arrangement Onsite, full‑time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Schedule: 9x80 with every other Friday off. Workforce hours may be standard 40‑hour week or condensed schedules. Compensation & Benefits Base range in Washington: $44.72 – $57.20 per hour.
