Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement. Must work or provide on-call coverage for 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's). Patient ratios of 1:2+. Float assignments to Pediatrics and NICU as needed within scope of practice.

Requirements:

• Active New Jersey or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of PICU critical care experience with at least 1 year of pediatric cardiac experience (hard requirement)
• BLS and PALS certification required; NRP preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Competency in congenital heart disease care including ASD, VSD, AV Canal Defect, TOF, valve replacements, Glenn and Fontan procedures, cardiac transplant, and post-cardiac surgery management
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, ventilator management, VAD support, and specialty PICU equipment including Medtronic pacemakers
• Skills in IV therapy, central line care, respiratory management (BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, tracheostomy care), medication administration (vasopressors, antiarrhythmics, anti-seizure medications), and pediatric dosage calculations using the Broselow system
• Ability to float within skillset to Pediatrics and NICU as assigned
