AdvanSix strives to deliver best-in-class customer experiences and differentiated products in the industries of nylon solutions, chemical intermediates, and plant nutrients, guided by our core values of Safety, Integrity, Accountability and Respect.Position Summary: The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning and scheduling all maintenance activities for an assigned area within the facilities. This is a fast-paced position that must thrive in a dynamic team environment.Duties and Responsibilities:Estimate and initiate work orders both mechanical and E/I; prepare, forecast, and explain cost variance for outage workProcure equipment and materials and outside services with focus on fixed price packagesHeld accountable for managing repairs, purchases, invoices, and receipts for outage workResponsibility for kitting outage workReview backlog outage maintenance notifications in SAP and progress P4 work orders ahead of outageDevelop and maintain mechanical maintenance documentation and make updates as neededBill materials as required for outagesDevelop and update job plans for specific repairs and pieces of equipmentAudit and retain shop papers and job history forms for mechanical maintenanceCommunicate with Area Coordinators / Mechanical FLS (First Line Supervisors) on daily activities and work prioritiesAccountable for administrative oversight of Contractors (including nested contractors)Other duties as requiredBasic Qualifications:High school diploma or GED and 5+ years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment OR Bachelor's degree in Mechanical EngineeringAdditional Qualifications:Strong written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skillsStrong leadership skillsExperience in use of IT tools to forecast and monitor key outage metrics, e.g., work hours and task progressionExperience in Primavera preferred (planning/scheduling program)Project management experience preferredDemonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of an organizationDemonstrated ability to incorporate safety into foundations of work activitiesDemonstrated ability to use influencing skills to accomplish goals and objectivesDemonstrated ability to generate and implement work process improvementsAble to manage multiple prioritiesKnowledgeable in repair techniques for a broad application of equipmentDemonstrated ability to coordinate repairsDemonstrated ability to work in a team environmentStrong computer skillsStrong skills in SAP-PM, Microsoft Office, and Production Loss Accounting ToolsUnderstanding of Maintenance Excellence ProtocolsKnowledge of repair techniques for a broad application of equipmentProficient in Six Sigma tools and Lean Concepts for business process improvementMust be highly motivated, self-directed individual with excellent interpersonal and presentation skillsThe base salary range for this role is $76,000 to $114,000 annually.We offer a range of market-competitive total rewards that include periodic pay rate adjustments based on market competitiveness. Hired applicants will be eligible for paid holidays, paid time off including vacation, eligibility to purchase company stock, tuition reimbursement, and a 401K with a competitive company match. The final offer will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to, the responsibilities of the job, experience, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as the job location, applicability of a collective bargaining agreement, length of service, internal equity, and alignment with market data. The incentive pay is dependent on your role, business results and individual performance.
