Manufacturing TechnicianDirect Hire Annual Salary Range - $60K-$80KPosition Summary: We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Technician to provide hands-on technical support across production operations. This individual contributor role requires a self-directed professional who can operate independently across equipment commissioning, calibration, troubleshooting, and process documentation — with no direct reports. Qualified candidates will bring deep familiarity with regulated manufacturing environments and the mechanical and electrical acuity to maintain equipment to specification in a fast-paced production setting.Core ResponsibilitiesInspect, prepare, and test stand-alone and integrated production equipment to ensure full functionality and compliance with performance specificationsCommission new testing and production equipment, including setup, verification, and acceptance testingComplete repairs and adjustments to manufacturer standards, maintaining electrical safety requirements throughoutOversee and execute calibration procedures and protocols across assigned equipmentIdentify and document mis-calibrated, damaged, or out-of-specification equipmentReport all nonconformances in accordance with the company ISO Quality Management PlanDevelop and maintain equipment and process Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and performance specificationsIdentify and implement recommendations to improve efficiency, throughput, safety, and cost-effectivenessRead, interpret, and apply machine drawings and electrical panel layouts in day-to-day operationsAssess and report on manufacturing throughput, bottlenecks, operational efficiency, and wasteCommunicate and coordinate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and operations teams to resolve equipment and process issuesRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredMinimum 5 years of manufacturing technician experience in food packaging, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or medical device productionDemonstrated working knowledge of electrical wiring, connections, and panel layouts — ability to safely troubleshoot general electrical and power issuesDeveloped mechanical aptitude with experience across a range of manufacturing systems and production practicesProficiency in reading and interpreting machine drawings and technical documentationFamiliarity with ISO Quality Management Systems and regulated manufacturing compliance requirementsExperience authoring or maintaining SOPs in a production environmentEffective cross-functional communication skills; ability to coordinate with engineering, quality, and operations personnel and clearly convey equipment status, findings, and recommendationsPreferred QualificationsVocational training, technical certification, or associate degree in a manufacturing, mechanical, or electrical disciplineExperience commissioning new production or testing equipmentBackground in calibration management and metrologyExposure to continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent)Ability to interpret PLC logic or basic automation schematics is a plus
