Position Description

As a Field Manager, you are the "face of DLC", the point person for safety, maintenance operations and customer relationships for your communities. In this role you will plan for and supervise your teams in managing the daily activities that make our properties shine.

Salary:

$65,000-$75,000

Position Requirements

  • Modeling, managing and supporting safety first through our Speak Up, Listen Up program
  • Planning and supervision of maintenance activities including cycle work, coordination of specialty crews, weekly schedules and reports
  • Hands on work - time out in the field planning and working with your foreman to complete maintenance activities, managing irrigation, developing & training your people
  • Communicating with clients, branch manager and foreman through meetings, email, phone and presentations
  • Participation at Landscape Committee Meetings, Board Meetings and Community activities
  • Hiring, training and management of foreman and crew members
  • Identifying and developing proposals for project work at your communities
  • Additional functions and responsibilities related to the completion of landscape maintenance activities
  • The ability to learn and develop skills to perform special projects proposals and supervision of projects and crew.
  • All other duties as assigned
Our Training Program:

Development of our people is key to our success. As a new Field Manager, you will spend your first 60 days in our Field Manager Training Program. This includes working with an onsite crew as you learn our safety program, field practices, leadership principles and company culture.

Here's what we are looking for:
  • Minimum of 3+ years' experience in landscape maintenance, construction or related industry
  • Minimum of 2+ years supervisory experience
  • Degree, coursework and/or specialized knowledge/certifications (ACLP, OPM, Irrigation, horticulture, arbor management)
  • Ability to demonstrate a track record of strong customer service
  • Ability to demonstrate a sense of urgency and manage multiple priorities in responding to needs and issues in a timely manner
  • Arizona Driver's License with acceptable MVR
  • Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish/English is a plus
  • Ability to view computer screens, mobile devices, and other electronic equipment for extended periods of time.
  • Regular travel within assigned geographic area is required to conduct or attend training classes, business meetings, or other events and situations necessary for the accomplishment of some or all of the daily responsibilities of this position.
  • Ability to work in both outside weather conditions and in an inside office environment
