Nurse Unit Manager - Grand Rapids Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States Job Description RN Unit Manager eligible for $7,500 sign on bonus LPN Unit Manager eligible for $5,500 sign on bonus The Nurse Manager assumes 24-hour responsibility and accountability for resident care on an assigned unit. This role supervises licensed nurses and direct care staff, ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, and promotes resident‑centered care consistent with facility philosophy and standards of nursing practice. Key Responsibilities Supervise and evaluate nursing staff performance on assigned unit. Ensure care plans are implemented and updated based on resident needs. Monitor documentation for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. Respond to resident/family concerns and ensure dignity and resident rights are respected. Support survey readiness and quality assurance activities. Coordinate interdisciplinary care and participate in care planning meetings. Physical & Work Requirements Ability to lift 80–300 lbs with assistance/equipment. Frequent standing, walking, and responding to emergencies. Skills & Competencies Strong clinical assessment and supervisory skills. Knowledge of CMS/state regulations and SNF standards. Effective communication and documentation abilities. Organizational and time management skills. Requirements Graduate of accredited nursing program with current RN or LPN license in Michigan. 2+ years of long‑term care or skilled nursing experience.
