You will gain experience that strengthens both the center and your career.This role focuses on maintaining and repairing many building systems to help the Carlisle Readiness Center operate smoothly. The position covers a wide range of tasks that support the facility's safety, function, and upkeep. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties:Painting Work: Prepare surfaces and apply interior and exterior paintPlumbing Tasks: Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, and related componentsCarpentry Skills: Perform rough and finish carpentry, including room remodeling and repairsElectrical Support: Install, replace, and maintain circuits, lighting, and related systemsHVAC and Systems: Service heating, cooling, ventilation, and automated building systemsFacility Upkeep: Carry out cleaning, grounds keeping, masonry, and other general maintenanceInterested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment, 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per weekWork hours are 1st shift (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM), Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); orFour years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; orAny equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.Special Requirement:You must be in possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.Additional Requirements:You must be able to perform essential job functions.Legal Requirements:A conditional offer of employment will require submission of criminal history reports.
